Bhavani and Aakash first met at a Science expo in high school and later started dating when they both moved to Johannesburg. The couples wedding took place at Kendra in Durban.

Bhavani says the highlight of her wedding day was when she walked onto the stage and Akaash threw petals down for her as she walked in. The couple honeymooned in Koh Samui in Thailand.
