Preeti and Himal had a beautiful afternoon wedding in Khao Lak, Thailand. The wedding took place on the Beach front of the Katiliya Khao Lak Resort and Pool Villas. Planning a destination wedding may seem like a daunting task for many brides. However, with Phuket being the ideal destination wedding location, it's fairly easy and cost effective. It's at these weddings that we see families spend quality time together, be it a day spent at the beach, going on tours or even just eating out and sampling local cuisine together. Destination weddings are more about the trip, days spent together and the memories created, rather than the actual wedding ceremony. Thailand is becoming a second home for us and we are looking forward to shooting many more weddings here.

 How I wish I was back in in Phuket. This was a styled destination wedding shoot we worked on with (probably that most amazing makeup artist in Phuket) Lisa Allen. If you are getting married in Phuket, then I really recommend you use Lisa, her work is flawless, professional and she uses high end make up which means that you won’t have to worry about your make up the entire day. It was a perfect afternoon in Rawai Phuket. We shot on the most beautiful beach in Phuket the water was so clear and blue that it looked like one of those holiday brochures, which always seem to perfect to be real. After the beach shoot we headed into a forest looking set up. From the car it looked as perfect as the beach but it was only until I got out of the car did I regret it. It was literally a mosquito heaven- we all kept smacking ourselves like crazy people to get them off. Our model(Emma) was fantastic, she was so well composed and made it look effortless to be there. It’s freezing! Right now, I’m sitting in front of the heater and wishing I could be in Phuket right now (The mailers from trip advisor showing the top 10 beach destinations don't help). They decided to spend their 10year anniversary in Phuket, Thailand. The couple live in Singapore and seem to travel a lot, although when asked what would be there ultimate photo destination they choose South Africa, Cape town.
