Our destination indian wedding in Phuket, Thailand.
Mitesh and I always knew that we would get married somewhere overseas (while on holiday) but we did not decide on Thailand until 2-3 months before the wedding. We wanted a destination wedding for the simple reason that we both love to travel, and we wanted to share a piece of our experiences with our guests and that is exactly what we got to do.
We chose Phuket as we shot a wedding there 2 years ago and absolutely fell in love with the place. All our wedding planning was handled from South Africa, with the help of Destination Indian Wedding. We decided to have the wedding on the east coast as the west coast is generally very busy and rather touristy. All our wedding formalities took place over two days with the wedding ceremony taking place late afternoon (temperatures in Phuket are too high around midday in April).
An outdoor wedding was what we decided on, as we wanted to capture the beauty of the surroundings. We felt that there wasn’t any point in having a destination wedding, with such amazing views, at night or in an indoor area. Since we were in such an breath-taking location, we decided to do our own couples shoot while we were on honeymoon. Below are pictures of our couples shoot, as well as some behind the scene pictures of how we set it up.
Planning a destination wedding can be a daunting task, but for us it worth every second. For couples that are looking for a unique experience having a destination wedding is the answer. You may have people who might totally disagree with the idea and some who will be more then eager to join in the festivities. Destination weddings are a great way to share once in a lifetime experiences with those that are nearest and dearest to you.
We now have a Designer photo branch in Phuket. We will be shooting and planning weddings in Phuket and surrounding areas. Contact us for all-inclusive wedding packages in Phuket.
